Words are in line with Recognition

It is not that objects exist prior to words. Instead in the human cognitive process, "signifiant (symbol)" is given to a certain collective "signifié" (what is expressed).

In other words, words are based on perception rather than on substance. This is why words can be more abstract than that of plain meanings of substance.

The things which exist by the name, such as water, enemy, and road, do not exist in the world originally. Rather than that, we ourselves allocate the words of water, enemy, and road to the world according to our interests. *
