Symbolism

There are two directions in the construction of AI.

One is "Symbolism." This expresses intelligence by the symbolic system (a set of symbols). It is a methodology to create a huge information processing device, using symbolic structured software.

It is a methodology for creating a machine-based AI, so to speak, the AI of "clockwork." IBM Watson, search by ordinary words, etc. are classified as Symbolism. Approximately ninety percent of AI developments is classified as the same direction. In plain words, it is the way to create AI by words, by programs.
