The behaviors of paternal care and caring for others among marmosets

Marmoset males hold newborn babies, carry them on their backs all day and night, and feed and care for them even after weaning. The species also frequently helps and comforts their companions. It is thought that the behavior of caring for others is developed through joint child care.
