"Functional Circuit" is a term in "Umwelt (Environment World)."
It represents the relationship between the subject of living organisms and the object in the world (environment). The subject is attracted to a certain feature (such as color, shape, and movement) of the object, that is, to the sensory index, and is stimulated to act (such as biting and grabbing) on a specific part of the action index. The subject-object relationship here is called Functional Circuit, and the subjective world of organisms is called Umwelt (Environment World).
Functional Circuit which means the circular subject-object relationship, is a biology term, but it corresponds to the "Agent Architecture" in AI. *
