Gorillas move, chimpanzees stay

The gorilla group used their wide home range area relatively evenly, whereas the chimpanzees in the focal group had smaller core areas within their relatively small home range area that were used repeatedly. As a result, the home range area of the gorilla group continued to increase over the eight-year study period, but that of the chimpanzee group stopped increasing after the first two years.
