The early humans who advanced to into the savannahs

Most human fossils are only found outside of the rainforest. This is mainly due to the fact that fossils seldom remain in the rainforest soil. However, fossils of earlier apes have not been found in the areas in which human fossils have been found. This implies that, among the apes, only the human ancestors advanced into the savannahs.
