No food sharing between adult gorillas?

In gorillas, food sharing between adults has not been observed until recently. Are they different from the other great apes?

No, the lack of evidence of food sharing in gorillas was probably due to a bias towards using mountain gorillas, which mainly feed on abundant leaves, as study subjects. Fieldwork on fruit-eating western lowland gorillas should yield new discoveries.
