The Structure of AI (1)

To build a Character AI, first we construct unconscious intelligence that interprets the world surrounding it(where it can walk, what it can grasp, etc), and then assemble conscious intelligence on top of it.

Just as information passes through the body of an organism is first interpreted differently in unconsciousness, in AI various analog signals brought from the world are converted into signs (symbols).

In artificial intelligence, various analog signals from the world are converted into symbols, just as information that passes through the body of an organism is interpreted in various ways in the unconscious.

In the case of games, the character (AI) lives in a virtual world. Stimulus comes from the outside world in the form of the signal.

For games, this signal is information.
