Anthropomorphism is widely accepted in entertainment fields. Good examples can be found in the films featuring Mickey Mouse and King Kong, which gained popularity in the 20th century. People naively thought that animals possessed a similar mind to humans, just as one might ascribe a personality to dogs and cats. Natural scientists did not, however, accept the presence of a human-like mind in animals.
