Evolution of foraging behaviors in humans

So what was feeding strategy of our human ancestors? During periods in which fruit was scarce, it may have been to eat underground tubers which neither the gorilla or chimpanzee ancestors ate. In addition to animals, humans added nutrient-rich tubers to their food repertoire, and they advanced into the woodlands and savannahs and acquired bipedal locomotion.
